Terms of Service
Effective date: July 30, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of I Love Hibachi Party's ("I Love Hibachi Party," "we," "us," "our") catering services and the website at https://ilovehibachiparty.com. By submitting a booking request or confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
I Love Hibachi Party provides live hibachi catering at the location you specify. A professional hibachi chef brings the grill, propane, fresh proteins, vegetables, rice, salad and sauces, cooks in front of your guests, performs the table-side show, and cleans the cooking station before leaving. What is included for your specific event is listed in your written quote.
2. Booking and Confirmation
- A booking is confirmed when you have received a written confirmation from us. A submitted request, a phone conversation, or a text exchange is not by itself a confirmed booking.
- You are responsible for providing accurate event details — date, start time, full address, adult and child counts, protein choices, and any allergies or dietary restrictions. Late changes may affect price or availability.
- There is a $550 event minimum. Smaller parties are welcome; the minimum applies instead of a per-head total below it.
3. Pricing, Deposit and Payment
- Standard pricing is $55 per adult and $30 per child, subject to the $550 event minimum.
- A $50 deposit is optional. It is not required to hold a date, but chefs are assigned first to guests who have placed it, so it buys priority scheduling in peak season.
- The balance is due on or before the event day, prior to the start of service.
- We accept card (processed by Stripe), Venmo and Zelle. We do not store card numbers on our servers.
- Premium items — filet mignon, scallops, lobster tail — are priced as upgrades and quoted before the event.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
- 7 or more days before the event: a paid deposit may be applied to a rescheduled date within 90 days, subject to chef availability.
- Inside 7 days: we will always try to reschedule first. Where a chef has already been committed to your date and cannot be reassigned, the deposit is forfeited.
- Severe weather, natural disasters and government-mandated closures are handled in good faith — we reschedule without penalty rather than charge for a date nobody could have used.
- If you cancel and no deposit was placed, nothing is owed.
5. Travel Fee
Travel is a flat $50 covering the first 50 miles from our base at 3408 Brighton St, Philadelphia, PA, with tolls included. Beyond 50 miles, $1 per additional mile applies. Distance is calculated from the event address you provide. For events more than 150 miles out, contact us for a custom quote.
6. Allergies and Dietary Restrictions
- You must disclose all known allergies and dietary restrictions at the time of booking.
- Food is cooked on a shared flat-top where shellfish, soy, gluten, dairy, eggs, sesame and other allergens are present. We cook allergy plates first on a cleaned section of the grill, but we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
- Guests with severe food allergies assume responsibility for their own safety. I Love Hibachi Party is not liable for reactions caused by undisclosed allergies or unavoidable cross-contact.
7. Premium Items and Substitutions
Premium proteins are subject to market availability. Selecting one at booking does not guarantee it; if an item cannot be sourced, you will be offered a substitute of equal value or that item's charge will be removed from your total.
8. Event Setup, Site and Conduct
- You are responsible for providing a level cooking area of roughly 10 by 10 feet with overhead clearance, adequate ventilation, and seating for guests. Indoor cooking requires a working range hood, an open garage, or a covered and ventilated porch.
- Open-flame cooking is involved. The cook area must be clear of obstructions, low-hanging branches, awnings and flammable material, and children must be kept back during the cook.
- If the venue is a rental, an HOA property, a rooftop or a commercial building, you are responsible for confirming that open-flame cooking is permitted and for obtaining any required permission.
- We reserve the right to end service early, without refund, in cases of abusive behaviour toward our staff.
9. Property Damage
You choose the cook location. I Love Hibachi Party is not responsible for incidental marks associated with outdoor cooking — heat marks on pavers or decking, smoke discoloration, grease spotting, or damage to lawn furniture moved to make room. Tell us if a surface is delicate and we will bring a mat or move.
10. Photography and Marketing
Our chef may take photos or short videos of the food and the show for our website gallery and social media. If you do not want this, tell us in writing when you book and we will not photograph identifiable guests.
11. Limitation of Liability
Our liability for any claim arising from your event is limited to the total amount paid for that booking. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental damages, including lost profits or emotional distress.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes are posted on this page and, if you have an upcoming booking, sent to you by email. The effective date above reflects the most recent update.
